Diabetic Awareness Camp No:22 (Date:16.02.2003)
Dr. K.P. Pichumani was the chair person of this camp. The preparation of “Pot Gourd & Wheat Chapathi” was demonstrated to the participants. This was applauded by them. Both Dr. K.P. Pichumani and Dr. Anuradha Pichumani attended a conference on diabetes at “Switzerland” in January the “ICEON TRIAL” (Indian clinical experience on Novelet insulin). Dr. K.P. Pichumani exchanged his experience in the conference to the patients. Dr. K.P. Pichumani gave appropriate answers to the queries of the patients. This camp was attended by more than 210 patients.
Diabetic Awareness Camp No:23 (Date :23.03.03)
Dr K.P. Pichumani chaired this meeting. It started at 10 ‘O' clock on 23.03.03 Sunday. More than 230 patients attended. Free blood check up was done to all. “The effect of Diabetes on veins” was the topic which was widely explained to the patients. Mr. S. Anandha Krishnan also answered the queries of the patients. A monthly magazine “Inippum Nivaranamum” was distributed the participants. Preparation of vegetable sandwich, a suitable diet to the diabetic patients, was demonstrated to the patients.

A cooking competition marked the “World Diabetic Day”. More than 22 participants took part in this competition. The judges were Tmt. Mala Sivankumar, Tmt. Vidya vijayaKumar and Mr. Narayanan.
I, II and III prizes were announced ^ the prize winners were Miss. Kanagapujam, Miss. Geetha, Miss. Anandhi and Miss. Bhavani. Mr. Anandha Krishnan was also present and answered the queries of the patients.
